Under The Dome - Season 2

Getting as far away from its source material as possible, "Under the Dome: Season 2" offered up another breezy season of escapism during the summer months of 2014. Its Blu-ray release, with a slew of special features, is a no-brainer of a purchase for fans of the sci-fi thriller.

Author Stephen King writes the premiere episode of Season Two. It's a breathtaking 45 minutes where numerous high-voltage events occur, including the demise of certain characters, sucking the viewer in for another bumpy ride in the world of "Under the Dome." The remaining episodes are confusing and convoluted at times, straying from King's novel and basically making up its own rules during the season (just how many times do we need to hear about that damn egg)?

The reliability of the show's key stars (Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, and Dean Norris), along with the small-town look of the fictional Chester's Mill, helps erase any inconsistencies in this sophomore season.
