A 20-year-old man from Rochester, Minn. was arrested Sunday after responding to a Grindr profile created by a 14-year-old boy and allegedly having sex with the young teen, ABC's southeastern Minnesota news station KAAL reports.

Efram Ciavarelli allegedly responded to a profile on the gay hookup app that was created by the young teen, according to police. Authorities say Ciavarelli went to the boy's home and officers were called around 1:30 a.m. on March 25.

Two younger children came home and noticed a strange car in the driveway. One of them took photos of the license plate. When they entered the home, they took knives from the kitchen, worried someone was in their house.

Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin told KAAL the kinds went downstairs and walked in on Ciavarelli and the 14-year-old having sex. That's when then called 911.

Sherwin told KAAL police found Ciavarelli in his car in the parking lot of an apartment complex. He was then arrested and now faces charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, possession of pornographic work and solicitation of a child through electronic means.

Ciavarelli allegedly told police he believed the boy was over 16 years old.
