Showstopping Actor Benjamin Rivera Steams Up 'Broadway Bares: Hit the Strip'

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Of the numerous showstoppers at last Sunday's "Broadway Bares" was Benjamin Rivera, the veteran Broadway performer who appeared as part of the Vegas-themed revue "Hit the Strip."

The Broadway Bares website writes: "Benjamin Rivera ensured all 3,000 people inside Hammerstein at each performance "got lucky" as he sexily shuffled up and raucously rocked the roulette table in 'Jackpot.' Rolling the dice was extra nice as an all-male identifying ensemble left their cards (and clothes) on the table in a heart-pumping, high-rolling number choreographed by John Alix."

For the days prior to the performance, Rivera teased with a series of sexy IGs. Including the one above in which he writes: "The night is finally here! My first ever Broadway Bares to raise money for @bcefa ❤️🖤 LET'S HIT THE STRIP!."

The event "raised a record-shattering $2,259,134 and bested the previous record of $2 million set in 2019. Included in that total is Stripathon, the online fundraiser led by the show's cast and crew, which raised a record $1,155,133," reports the Broadway Bares website.

Broadway Bares is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. For more information and/or to donate to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, follow this link.

In another IG post, Rivera shares his preparation for the event with a brief capture of him summersaulting across the Hammersmith Ballroom stage.

On Broadway, Rivera has appeared in the recently closed "New York, New York" Prior to that, he was in the original cast of "Moulin Rouge!" and "Aladdin." His tours include "Elf: the Musical!" (at Madison Square Garden), "The Bodyguard," Dirty Dancing," and "Anything Goes." On television he has appeared on "Saturday Night Live,"the broadcast of "RENT Live," and :Pose."

My name is Benjamin Rivera, but you can call me Benji. I am a photographer by day and a Broadway performer by night...I spend my time offstage taking pictures. I guess you could say I love telling stories, whether its singing and dancing or taking beautiful pictures of people."
