Fear The Walking Dead - The Complete First Season - Special Edition
Ken Tasho READ TIME: 1 MIN.
A mere three months ago, a mostly bare-bones Blu-ray came out for the first season of the hit AMC show "Fear the Walking Dead." It was a slightly overpriced set, featuring only six episodes and a couple of brief promo shorts.
Anchor Bay now presents "Fear the Walking Dead - The Complete First Season: Special Edition", now upping the ante with a whopping eleven bonus features spread over two discs again. I hate to say it folks, but if you're a big fan of the companion show to "The Walking Dead," this is the Blu-ray set to get.
And at a price not that much higher than the previous high-definition release, it might be time to sell that version and buy the special edition.
Of course, skeptical Blu-ray buyers know the drill all too well: AMC's second season of "Fear the Walking Dead" starts on April 10, ripe in time for another release from Anchor Bay.
Multiple audio commentaries are included for all six episodes in the Special Edition. Most feature Executive Producers Dave Erickson and David Alpert on them. Certain actors wisely appear on them also, including Kim Dickens and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
The other bonus features are as follows and can only be found in this release:
"Pilot Episode: The Widescreen Version"
"Deleted Scenes"
"Inside Fear the Walking Dead"
"Fear: the Beginning"
"Five Things You Need to Survive"
"Locations: L.A. & Vancouver"
"Quarantined"
"Stunts and Anarchy"
"The Faces of Fear"
"The Infected"
They all add up to almost two hours of viewing time.
