Santorum Will Never Attend a Gay Family Member's Wedding

Gay relatives of 2012 Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum who are planning on getting married may want to rethink inviting the ultra conservative to their ceremony.
As Gay Star News points out, Santorum made it clear Thursday he will never show his face at a same-sex wedding - even if he's related to the couple.
"Would you, Rick Santorum, attend a same-sex wedding of a loved one or a family friend or anyone you were close to?" radio show host Hugh Hewitt asked Santorum.
"No I would not," he replied. "Because I don't - as a person of my faith, that would be something that would be a violation of my faith. I would love them and support them, but I would not participate in that ceremony."
In contrast, however, Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who announced this week that he will be running for president in 2016, was asked the same question on Wednesday Univision's Jorge Ramos and had a very different answer.
"If it's somebody in my life that I care for, of course I would," he said. "I'm not going to hurt them simply because I disagree with a choice they've made or because I disagree with a decision they've made, or whatever it may be."
Rubio added that he does not support same-sex marriage, however.
