On Saturday April 26th, 2014, Fenway Health will host its renowned annual fundraiser, 'The Men's Event,' at Boston's Marriott Copley Place Hotel. The black-tie event is billed as "Boston's biggest night on the town for more than 1,300 gay and bi men, transgender people, and allies." The evening is in aid of Fenway Health, to ensure that they can continue to offer outstanding health care and services to the LGBT community and their allies in the Boston area. The fundraising goal this year is over $600,000, to "support essential, life-affirming healthcare for all."

This year's event is made possible thanks to the hard work of event chairs Joe Caputo, Rob Krasow, and Matthew E. Thompson, as well as the support of generous corporate sponsors.

The evening will kick off at 6 p.m., with mingling, drinks and a silent auction. Dinner service will commence around 7 p.m., followed by dancing. The music will be provided by DJ Jim Clerkin, aka 'Gay Jim,' from the Kiss 108 Matty in the Morning Show, and entertainment will also be provided in the form of political humorist and stand-up comedian Jimmy Tingle, who will serve as emcee and host the silent auction. Guests can also look forward to music from Booty Vortex, a Boston-based musical powerhouse of funk, soul and disco -- they promise to get you moving to classic hits from the 70s, 80s and beyond!

Fenway Health is also proud to announce that 'The Men's Event' will honor former Boston Mayor, Thomas M. Menino, with the Congressman Gerry E. Studds Award, for his dedicated and unwavering support of the LGBT community. Menino is also a long-time advocate of socially progressive public health policies, and served as honorary co-chair of Fenway's 2006-2009 capital campaign, which helped finance construction of the Ansin Building at 1340 Boylston Street.

In addition to his donations to this year's art auctions, famed photographer Gary Bernstein will be in Boston March 28 - 30 making private portraits for locals, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Fenway Health. Bernstein has photographed hundreds of celebrities and was hand-picked by the iconic Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson to create their best known images. Bernstein has also created The Boston Editions - 15 signed and numbered Limited Edition Gallery Prints of Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. To purchase a Boston Edition or book your own photo session in front of Bernstein's camera, visit his website today!

Tickets for this fabulous fundraiser are $250 each (tables are $3,000 and seat 12 people). The Marriott Hotel is also offering guests of 'The Men's Event' an impressive discounted room rate of $170, by calling 800.228.9290 or 617.236.5800 by April 18, 2014. So why not make a night of it?
