Actor Adam Baldwin, best known for his role as Animal Mother in "Full Metal Jacket" and appearing on Fox's "Firefly" series, went on a Twitter rant last week, comparing gay marriage to incest, the Huffington Post reports.

"What's wrong, now, with a father marrying his son for love & to avoid tax penalties?" he tweeted on Feb. 20 after he posted a link to an article on The Hill about Matt Bevin, the Republican who is looking to defeat Sen. Mitch McConnell in Kentucky's November 2014 Senate election, according to NewNoxNext. The article is about statements Bevin made about linking marriage equality to parent-child marriages.

"Who said anything about 'sex,'H8rs?!" Baldwin wrote. "This is a Liberty & ca$h deal! Love ? Sex."

"Why would #SSM advocates H8 the idea of fathers & sons using marriage exemptions to avoid governmental tax confiscations? ~ #Liberty" he added.

Baldwin has appeared in "Law & Order: SVU," "Chuck," "CSI: NY," "The X-Files" and more. He currently stars on "The Last Ship," a post-apocalyptic drama that airs on TNT.

HuffPo notes that LGBT activist Tim Peacock tweeted TNT's Twitter account about Baldwin's remarks, which didn't sit well with the actor and actor Nick Searcy of "Justified," who called him a "liar" and a "fat ass."

According to comic website Bleeding Cool, comic writer Kurtis Wiebe also condemned Baldwin but was hit with derogatory comments and called "tubby" and "butthurt."
