Celebs Show Their Spirit Day Pride

A number of celebrities said they'll wear purple on Thursday to show their support for Spirit Day, a holiday created by GLAAD in order to highlight bullying among LGBT youth.

According to E! Online rapper Macklemore, "Golden Girl" Betty White, entertainer Nick Cannon, singer Demi Lovato, pop star Ke$ha, out rock singer Melissa Etheridge, actress Kristen Bell, "Jersey Shore" reality stars Snooki and JWoww, TV personality Kelly Osbourne and more will all be donning purple on Oct. 17, among the millions of others who are supporting Spirit Day.

Additionally, Kim Kardashian, and stepsisters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner will tweet to their followers about Spirit Day.

"I'm going purple with @glaad to stand against bullying today for #SpiritDay. See how you can, too! http://glaad.org/spiritday," Kardashian tweeted.

Several athletes will also break out the purple: Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, the National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hooky League, Ultimate Fighting Champ
ionship and World Wrestling Entertainment officials will be taking to social media websites to spread the word on Spirit Day.

WWE's Darren Young, who came out in August, made a video in support of Spirit Day.
