Toronto Pride at The Fairmont Royal York

TORONTO, Canada - The city of Toronto's mayor, Rob Ford, attended a flag-raising ceremony for International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) http://bit.ly/L3bnwE, and delivered a proclamation.
Visitors and locals can now join in future celebrations along with a rainbow of special room rates to be offered at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York hotel during Toronto Pride Week this June. The Fairmont Royal York is pleased to share in their city's pride by offering a 10-day-long Pride Week Rate from $159 CAD per night, beginning June 22 and through July 1.
Pride Toronto is a not-for-profit organization that celebrates the history, courage and diversity of Toronto's LGBTTIQQ2SA communities (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, 2 Spirited, Allies). The organization hosts their annual Pride Week in downtown Toronto from June 22 to July 1, 2012.
Toronto has been holding Pride observances since the 1970s celebrating diverse sexual and gender identities, cultures, families and lives, through world-class arts, cultural festivals and community activities. Toronto's most prominent event, Pride Parade, takes place on Sunday, July 1, with 1.2 million attendees expected.
