Funnymen Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly shared a same-sex smack on the lips at the May 2 Lakers game, UnicornBooty.com reported in a May 3 post.

The actors, co-stars in the big screen comedy "Step Brothers," were caught on camera locking lips as they each clutched sandwiches, TV Squad reported on May 10. The next evening, on talk show "Chelsea Lately," Ferrell told host Chelsea Handler that the on-air mashfest was Reilly's idea.

"Just a typical Lakers game for me," Ferrell quipped.

When the Lakers' "Kiss Cam" spooled up, Ferrell told Handler, Reilly suggested, "If the camera gets on us, why don't we take a bite of our sandwiches and then kiss."

"I didn't even bat an eyes," Ferrell related. " 'Take a bit of the sandwich first and then kiss? Okay. Got it,' " was his response, he told Handler. "Sure enough, we're on," Ferrell added, going on to mime sharing a mouthful with Reilly.

"Half the crowd erupted in joy and the other half vomited," Ferrell said.

The kiss was more jape than romantic (or bromantic) overture, the Huffington Post suggested in a May 3 posting. "They're performers," the posting noted. "And they performed. Albeit, slightly embarrassed, and reeking of hot dog breath."

The quick spit-swap drew cheers from ESPN program Take 3, which broadcast a clip of the kiss. After the buss, Ferrell and Reilly pumped their fists in a show of comic victory.

"That's how you roll!" one Take 3 announcer crowed.

"I think they are the modern-day Martin and Lewis," another host opined.

The sporty snog took place at the Los Angeles Staples Center during the Lakers game against the Dallas Mavericks. Ferrell told Handler that the Lakers went to lose the game.

"After you did that?" Handler shot back.
