In the 1939 gay classic "The Women," there is a character named Buck Winston, the cowboy heart-throb of the divorcees staying a Reno dude ranch. This being a film where no men appear, Buck is only talked about; but it his enthusiastic catch phrase — '"Ki Ya Yah Yippee Ki Yay!"— that remains his most famous contribution to film history.
