'It's a Mary Special,' Says Milo Yiannopoulos Pushing Religious Items on Shopping Network
The Alt-Right's favorite ex-gay Milo Yiannopoulos is expanding his resume with appearances on the Catholic news site Church Militant's shopping channel where he is seen shelling religious items with the help of co-host Deborah Vaughn.
The three items all centered on the Virgin Mary: a bronze or silver statue, an Art Deco-styled medallion, and a book of meditations, "A Year with Mary."
"It is a Mary Special," Yiannopoulos says.
At one point he says there are "good Marys and bad Marys."
"There are some Marys where the face is unfortunate. They haven't put in the work to make sure that she's got just the right expression and features," he says in a clip. "This, on the other hand, as you can see at home, it's just...it's just beautiful."
On Tuesday, Yiannopoulos held a protest and prayer rally on Baltimore's waterfront organized by Church Militant. While there were fears that the event would lead to confrontations, "city officials' fears of a violent clash downtown were not realized," the Baltimore Sun said.
Baltimore officials had tried to cancel the event, but Church Militant sued the city and won the right for the rally.
Hundreds of people showed up for the rally and were met by a far smaller group of two dozen protesters who "marched to the pavilion and gathered at its gates, calling participants inside fascists and bigots. Protester and city resident Alex Rodgeres led the group in chants through a megaphone: 'Sexist, racist, anti-gay, born-again Christians go away'," the Baltimore Sun reported.
"During Tuesday's rally, organizers were jubilant about the legal victory. Yiannopoulos suggested participants donate to Church Militant, noting it cost the group $350,000 in legal fees to 'force the city of Baltimore to obey the law'," the Sun said.
Twitter was quick to respond to Milo's latest career move.
