The following is a press release from the BENT LGBTQ Film Festival:

We are proud to announce the 30th anniversary of the BENT LGBTQ Film Festival.

From October 9th to October 10th, 2021 we will be gathering in person at The Crest Theatre K Street. Additionally, due to the COVID Delta variant, we will have an online virtual festival for those who would rather watch from the safety of their home.

As the longest running film festival in Sacramento and the only LGBTQI+ one, we have come a long way since 1992, from Fairy Flicks, to Sacramento International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (SIGLFF), and finally to BENT Sacramento LGBTQ Film Festival. We have experienced many changes in film formats, societal attitudes towards LGBTQ folks, and the way we screen our films.

We are proud that BENT has strived to be at the forefront of creating visibility to diverse LGBTQIA+ stories, empowering storytellers, and building empathy to drive meaningful social change, here in California, the United States, and around the world.

More information and a copy of our program can be found online at .

Tickets for in-person screenings can be purchased online at or at the Crest box office, 1013 K Street.
