Mind the Gap? Gay Couple Plead Guilty to London Subway Threesome

A gay couple appeared in court Jan. 11 to enter a guilty plea to charges stemming from an alleged threesome that took place aboard a London subway car in February of 2017, British tabloid The Sun reported.

The couple, 35-year-old George Mason and his 24-year old boyfriend, Nicholas Mullan, took video of themselves having sex with a third man on a train servicing the route between Leicester Square and Waterloo stations, the Sun article said. The story the prosecutor in the case, Victoria Murphy, as declaring that the video "showed full sex, oral sex and masturbation in the presence of the traveling members of the public."

After the video was shared online, "It was reported by a man who was also gay who thought the video overstepped the mark and was morally unacceptable," the prosecutor said, according to a story in American tabloid the New York Post.

British Transport Police identified Mason and Mullan using the video. The identity of the third individual remains unknown; media accounts said that his face could not be used for identification purposes since his features were blurred out on the video.

The World News also reported on the story, filling in some detail on one of the men who was identified. The World News said that Mullan is a scientist with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

The couple is due back in court on Feb. 1 for sentencing.
